Description

Thymosin alpha 1 is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B as a potentiator of vaccine immune response in immunocompromised patients. Inhibited immune system functions, including chronic hemodialysis and elderly patients, can enhance the patient's immune response to viral vaccines, such as influenza vaccine or hepatitis B vaccine.
